Spring is almost here! There is something so exciting about the shift from winter to spring, feeling the sunshine and watching as everything in nature seems to come to life. I love pulling out seasonal books that highlight all that is fun about the season, and spring has so many fun themes to explore! I know a lot of people might include Easter books with Spring books, but I like to keep Easter separate…is there really a wrong way to do seasonal books? I don’t think so! For Spring I like to include books about Spring, plants, bugs, flowers, berries, baby animals and rain.

Here are our top picks for Spring picture books:
- Abracadabra, It’s Spring
- Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring
- Let it Rain
- William Wakes Up
- Bunny’s Book Club
- Too Many Carrots
- Stella and the Berry Thief
- The Pink Umbrella
- The Good Egg
- Worm Weather
- It’s Spring!
- Kite Day
- The Little Rabbit
The great thing about seasonal books as oppose to holiday books is that you can read them all season long! So even if your library holds are a little delayed you don’t have to miss out! Spring is a great time to read outside…a hammock, a blanket, or the park are all fun places to relax and enjoy a book or two. I hope you found a few that your kiddos might enjoy. Do you have a favorite spring themed book that I missed, please share I’d love to check it out!

Happy Spring Reading!
