Savoring Summer: A Simple Summer Joy BINGO

Fourth of July has officially come and gone and it feels like we have entered into the Phase 2 of summer. We have wrapped up baseball and have a little more free time to enjoy summer and all the fun and festive activities it offers before fall sports and school schedules start up again! I wanted a fun and simple way to try to be a little more intentional about how we spend our time together so I decided to create a BINGO board of summer activities and foods that we still want to enjoy this summer. It is just a little different spin on the popular joy list or bucket list concept. I am very into BINGO boards lately. Our library is hosting an adult reading challenge that is a BINGO board and I have been very excited to read for BINGOS. I even created my own reading challenge BINGO board for my kids, you can check it out on this Summer Reading Post.

There is plenty of time left this summer to get a few BINGOs on the board, or if were feeling extra energetic, maybe even black our BINGO board out. Print out your own blank board and join in on the intentional memory making fun. Fill it with some of your favorite summer activities, foods to eat, places to go and people to see. Don’t forget to add a few items that you have been wanting to do or try that you haven’t made happen yet. The BINGO board might just be the perfect little motivation that you need. Once you have the board all filled up then you can use it for inspiration the next time you have a weekend, evening or afternoon with nothing on the schedule. I find these fun little outings and activities can really spark a little joy when morale in low. (I’m sure that only happens at my house!!!)

Here is what we put on our BINGO board this year:

Fill your BINGO board with things that you know your family will enjoy doing and eating together. Create time for all the little things that you love about summer and make some sweet family memories! Check out this CELEBRATE SUMMER post for more fun summer ideas and inspiration to fill up your summer bingo board. I hope the BINGO board brings your family a little more joy this summer!

What are some of your favorite summer activities?

Cheers to all the summer fun,

Meg
