Things to Celebrate- May

I’m not sure how it is already May, the last few months have slipped by without me really noticing. This year our May is jam-packed with celebrations—7 family birthdays, 2 graduations and 2 retirements! And if that wasn’t enough May also offers some other fun ways to get festive. I enjoy a sprinkling of “national days” especially when they offer opportunities to have my favorite food or drink, try something new or make fun memories with my family. Here are some fun “holidays” we might just try to observe this month: May 1st- May Day; a fun opportunity to surprise a friend or neighbor. Grab a simple bouquet and add a note. We got a little artsy with our May Day Flowers. May 5th- Cinco de Mayo; Margaritas (need I say more?) May 12th- Mother’s Day May 15th- Chocolate Chip Day May 18th- Pizza Party Day; Having a picnic is on our Spring Live List, this might be just the day to do it. May 28th- Memorial Day May 31st- Macaroon Day; After binge watching The Great British Baking Show, I might just give these a try. Some of the “national days” make you wonder…I might have to do some research on how these days come about! Hope you have a great May with lots to celebrate!!!
